Day 1: Arrival in Asheville, North Carolina & Travel to Pisgah National Forest

Travel to Pisgah National Forest: From Asheville, drive into the heart of Pisgah National Forest, a lush wilderness area known for its towering trees, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife.
Afternoon: Set up camp near the forest and enjoy a relaxing evening as you acclimate to the natural surroundings.
Evening: After dinner, gather around the campfire for a brief orientation on the upcoming adventure. Your guide will introduce you to the region’s history and natural features.

Day 2: Hiking the Appalachian Trail to Max Patch
Morning: After breakfast, start your day with a scenic drive to Max Patch, one of the most iconic hiking spots along the Appalachian Trail. Max Patch is famous for its panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and its expansive open meadow.
Midday: Hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail to Max Patch, enjoying breathtaking views and spotting wildlife like deer, wild turkeys, and various bird species along the way.

Throughout your 6-day journey, you will camp in some of the most beautiful and tranquil spots in the Appalachian Mountains. From the towering trees of Pisgah National Forest to the scenic beauty of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, each campsite offers a unique and immersive experience. All necessary camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, etc.) will be provided.
Camping: Sleep under the stars, with the sounds of the forest and streams around you. The campsites will be equipped with all necessary gear for a comfortable experience, and meals will be prepared over the campfire.
